About Send a Cow

Send a Cow is a Christian organisation that enables poor farmers in Africa to become self-sufficient by providing them with livestock, training and advice. We source all our livestock within Africa, and work in Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.

We work with some of the most vulnerable groups in Africa, including children orphaned by war, families affected by HIV/AIDS, and disabled people.

Pass on’ is a simple, but incredibly effective way of spreading bounty. Everyone who receives an animal from Send a Cow, passes on the first-born female offspring to another family. Who in turn pass on their first-born. And so on. Income from early harvests is passed on to buy more crops or trees. Even knowledge gained from training is passed on and shared.
